BLUEGRASS BOYS

As of lately, it gets pretty obvious we like going to KY to skate their precious waves of concrete. While we wait for our own to be built, we like to think these are close to home. Even though the 3 hr drive is boring as all hell. Once you get past the cows and bails of hay, you start to appreciate how nicer it really is.
Last weekend; Aaron Anderson, Tim Cline and myself wanted to get outta dodge and hit up some transition. We went West to Georgetown, onto Dry Ridge, and Florence. After getting back we also checked out Ironton, OH's new pre-made park. Which ofcourse was infested with tweens even at night. I've been back there since, but that park needs some more additions as well as some smoother concrete.
Came up with some clips and met some local homies who were reppin there brand FICKLE pretty hard. Wish them luck.

A couple days later, Jayson had his birthday and got off work for the next couple of days. Since he missed out on the weekend trip, we decided to go back to Ironton, OH during the day to see what we could come up with. I did'nt bring the camera because I was pretty hungover and just wanted to be lazy. We ended up getting some free gas and talks of going out of town was in the mix. Later that Monday night I got a hold of Travis and he was working the bar at Giovanni's so we met up to get lit. He said he was off for the next couple of days so we decided to leave immedietly skate all night and get back before I had to work at 5. Seemed simple.

Welcome back to the Bluegrass State. I've only been gone a little over 24 hrs but it felt like I never left. We arrive at Louisville around 2 a.m. and sessioned the beast till the sun came up. We skated around the downtown area in the morning to find out by a local flower shop down the street that the skatepark would be under maintanance to cover up all the penis art for a couple days. During which time the park would be closed. We decided we had enough of traffic and left before the concrete washing begun.

Onto Georgetown for the second park of our trip. It started off with shotguns and ended with broken bones. Travis got into a freak accident that involved firecrackin. We ended up at the hospital to find out he broke his collar bone in three places.

x-ray to come.

After that, it was pretty plain to say we needed to get him home. Aswell as the rest of the sleep deprived crew. Hit THE VOID up, Jayson bought a stick and we bounced. Late for work again. Oh well. Got some footage tho.

Thanks to THE VOID for having thoughs low low prices and to the great Dr.'s and Nurses of Georgetown for prescribing Travis with medication that does'nt exist. See you soon Ky.
