A couple days later, Jayson had his birthday and got off work for the next couple of days. Since he missed out on the weekend trip, we decided to go back to Ironton, OH during the day to see what we could come up with. I did'nt bring the camera because I was pretty hungover and just wanted to be lazy. We ended up getting some free gas and talks of going out of town was in the mix. Later that Monday night I got a hold of Travis and he was working the bar at Giovanni's so we met up to get lit. He said he was off for the next couple of days so we decided to leave immedietly skate all night and get back before I had to work at 5. Seemed simple.
Welcome back to the Bluegrass State. I've only been gone a little over 24 hrs but it felt like I never left. We arrive at Louisville around 2 a.m. and sessioned the beast till the sun came up. We skated around the downtown area in the morning to find out by a local flower shop down the street that the skatepark would be under maintanance to cover up all the penis art for a couple days. During which time the park would be closed. We decided we had enough of traffic and left before the concrete washing begun.
Onto Georgetown for the second park of our trip. It started off with shotguns and ended with broken bones. Travis got into a freak accident that involved firecrackin. We ended up at the hospital to find out he broke his collar bone in three places.
x-ray to come.
After that, it was pretty plain to say we needed to get him home. Aswell as the rest of the sleep deprived crew. Hit THE VOID up, Jayson bought a stick and we bounced. Late for work again. Oh well. Got some footage tho.

Thanks to THE VOID for having thoughs low low prices and to the great Dr.'s and Nurses of Georgetown for prescribing Travis with medication that does'nt exist. See you soon Ky.

Edit up already? Yea, I have nothing else to do with my life.
The weather turned pretty ugly by the time we were getting comfortable with the new roof gap spot. So we headed back to town and waited for the rain to settle.
Moments later, rain stopped, and everything started to dry up. Some homies came in town from Marmet and Hurricane to see what Huntington had to offer. I can see them coming down alot more before summer is over. Thanks for coming out to skate everyone.

Left after work one night and decided to take a road trip with Jayson to get outta Huntington.
We ended up West bound to Lexington, where the parks lights were still on until 1 am. Then left to get beers and head to the next park in Dry Ridge. No lights but we still skated until the beer ran out. Decided to crash in the bowl at the park instead of the car, woke up the next morning to the garbage guys turning the place upside down. 6 am sesh at Dry Ridge, then about 8 am headed out to McD's for coffee and breakfast. Finally afterwards we got to Florence Outdoor park which we had all to ourselves. Saw some rollerblader get messed up first go, bunch of kiddies on the scooters and mountain bikes. Stayed at the park until about noon. Then headed back home. No speeding tickets, no heat exaustion, no bum ankles, no park troopers and not many people at the parks. & I got back home just in time to go to work. All in all a great road trip.

SILLY SKATE from blair on Vimeo.
Hesson told me the other day, "I think I'm going to get back into skateboarding." I believe he never really left skateboarding, he just left Huntington for a couple months.
I hear it alot these days; " I used to skateboard.", "I only skate when I can...", "There is no where to skate, these spots are lame."
I'm not pointing any fingers, I just know that it's easy to be negative when there is'nt any outlet to take. Whatevs. I've skated Huntington for about over a decade now and I still end up going to "Bank One" to skate a curb. I'm always down to skate a lame spot.
