BELIEVE THE HYPE
I usually listen to music that gets me hyped.
Mostly that music comes from a skate video.
Sometimes it'll even be the first time I've ever even heard that song or that artist.
I find myself at weird places hearing that "one song" from that "one video" and having a relapse of kickflips and backside talkslides in exact order, of that exact part.
Happens more often than you would think.
Today, I heard the song "Kid in Candy" by The Spinanes...
but this time it was in my own living room while going through old mixed CD's
The first thing that went through my mind was this....
Anthony Van Engelen & Jason Dill.
I grew up on this shit. Short but sweet all the same, this video part is epic. Little did young Ty Evans know he created something so epic.
Transworld Skateboarding's video FEEDBACK was constantly in my VCR when I could get it from my friend.
Listening to that song, remembering FEEDBACK....just led to more moves.
I'm slowly anticipating one of the best companies to drop their 4th video.
Nah, FINAL FLARE drops sooner than this. So you know it's better. Let's recap.

HABITAT SKATEBOARDS was born at the same time PHOTOSYNTHESIS dropped. Fred Gall, Mark Appleyard, Brian Wenning, Danny Garcia, Tim O'Connner, and Kerry Getz
So as we wait for MINDFIELD in 2009, be sure to watch all three ALIEN WORKSHOP videos. All are different in their own theme, so I'm sure Arto Saari, Rob Dyrdek, Dylan Rieder, Steve Berra, Heath Kirchart, Omar Salazar, Tyler Bledsoe, Mikey Taylor, Jason Dill, Anthony Van Engelen, Jack Johnson, and Grant Taylor won't mind making the 4th ALIEN WORKSHOP video just as epic as the 1st.
